Canva is where many creators make thumbnails, logos, carousels, and brand graphics. Once you connect it, Marketing can find your designs, export one as an image or a video for a post, and start a new design at the right size for you to finish.

Setup (when it opens)#

  1. In the Canva Developer Portal, create an integration with the design:meta:read, design:content:read, and design:content:write scopes, and add your redirect address.
  2. Sign in to the integration once to get a refresh token.
  3. Open Integrations and pick Canva.
  4. Paste the client ID, the client secret, and the refresh token, switch on the live option, and press Connect.

Permissions#

  • Read your designs, so Marketing can find them.
  • Read design content, so Marketing can export a design.
  • Write design content, so Marketing can start a new design after you approve.

Good to know#

  • Canva cannot design from a prompt through this connection. A new design opens blank at the right size, with the brief in its title, and you finish it in Canva.
  • Canva deletes a blank design nobody edits within seven days.
  • Export links work for one day. Publish or save the file soon after.
  • Canva gives out a new refresh token every time it is used, and StellarFirm keeps the newest one. If Canva stops accepting it, sign in to the integration again and paste the new token.
