On this page

Similarweb estimates how many people visit a website, where they come from, and who they are. Once you connect it, Marketing can compare your site with competitors and Sales can size up an account before a call.

What assistants can do#

Similarweb connects through the tool's own hosted connector, and it is read only.

AbilityHow it runs
Read website traffic and engagementReads on its own
Compare traffic sources, audiences, and rankingsReads on its own

Setup (when it opens)#

  1. A Similarweb account admin opens Settings, then Account, then Data Tools, then REST API in Similarweb.
  2. Generate a key and make sure it is switched on.
  3. Open Integrations in StellarFirm and pick Similarweb.
  4. Paste the key, switch on the live option, and press Connect.

Permissions#

  • Nothing here waits for an Approve because nothing here changes data.
  • Your Similarweb plan needs API access, and each call draws on its data allowance.
  • Revoke the key in Similarweb whenever you want to cut access.
